    Composition/Origins: Crystalized form of gypsum. Tends to be transparent with fine white ribbing (satin spar) or coarser ribbing/petals (desert rose). Selenite is softer than many gemstones; hence store in soft  cloth and treat with care to prevent scratching. It is also water-soluble, so please avoid rinsing or cleaning your selenite beads in water or cleaners. Selenite is found in the Austria, England, France, Germany, Greece, Mexico, Poland, Russia, and United States.

    Colors/Pattern: pearly to creamy white to transparent color with fine ribbing. Selenite crystals can be found as small to large wands, glassy near-transparent sheets, Selenite is a beautiful translucent to pearly-white crystal with streaks of white or cream.
